American Pewter with Burroughs (1981)

American Pewter with Burroughs is a series of lithographs proposed by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, as a collaboration between Rauschenberg and Beat author William Burroughs. Burroughs provided the text that Rauschenberg incorporated into the work by embossing to create a raised relief. The series is comprised of a suite of six published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles.
